Miss Katherine Joslin
Miss Katherine is a passionate and multi-talented dance artist originally from Conneaut, Ohio. At just 18, she boldly pursued her dreams by moving to New York City to train at the prestigious Institute for American Musical Theatre, where she studied under industry leaders such as Michael Minarik, Nicolas Cunningham, Lindsay Lancaster (Head of Dance), Tonna Miller (Head of Voice), and Collin Hanlon (Film/TV).
After completing her training, Katherine relocated to Sumter, SC thanks to a connection with Shaw AFB, and quickly became a vital part of the local dance community. In 2025, she earned her Acrobatic Arts certification and now leads a thriving Acro program known for its technique, creativity, and fun. She also teaches as part of the Thomas Sumter Academy dance program, inspiring young dancers with her vibrant energy and well-rounded skillset.
Katherine began her dance journey at age 7 at Wildfire Dance Studio, training in ballet, tap, hip hop, commercial dance, and more. Her deep foundation in technique, paired with her experience in gymnastics and acro, makes her a dynamic and versatile choreographer committed to helping students reach their full potential.
When she’s not in the studio, Katherine loves spending time with family and friends, soaking up the sun at the beach, sketching her latest ideas, or relaxing with a great movie. She’s always ready for the next big dance adventure and is excited for what the future holds!
