Miss Chylene Player Burdick
Owner & Lead Instructor
Miss Chylene is Sumter native and Winthrop University alumni with over 35 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Chylene began her training at Betty Freed School of Dance where she quickly climbed up the ranks of Freed Spirit at the age of 12, studying under Andrea Freed-Levenson. Majoring in business and minoring in dance, she would act as the captain/choreographer, and eventually coach of the Winthrop dance team. After her time in Fort Mill, she returned to Sumter to teach and co-founded the Rising Stars at Miss Libby's, leading them to a National Title before leaving to join forces with Miss Brenda Cranford of Hartsville and open their own dance school in Darlington, SC. Miss Chylene later returned to her roots once again to open DREAMWORKS and uses her gifts to minister to the youth of Sumter. Her students have traveled internationally on mission trips and have found that dance is the international language and a gift in sharing Christ with others.
She traveled to Botswana, Africa in the summer 2011 to help lead a Christian children's conference. She volunteers at Crosswell Children's Home, ADMS Special Needs, ADBC Sunday School and VBS, and Harmony Church Bible Alive. Miss Chylene has taught choreography for the Alice Drive Elementary Spring Fling for the past 10 years and was the Dance gifted and Talented instructor for School District #17 for 5 years. She has national titles and choreography awards to her credit. She was a special needs dance instructor at Public Schools in Florence and Sumter and Owned Dance Dynamics Darlington for 7 years. She is married to Paul Burdick and they have 3 wonderful children: Olivia, Austin, and Bryan. It is her true desire that every Dreamworks student feel loved and appreciated for whatever they are interested in pursuing, regardless of level or talent. Available for solos, duet/trios and technique work.


Miss Rebecca Koenig
Praise dancer, Singer, & Choreographer
and Dream Team Hip Hop/Jazz instructor


Miss Rebecca will be joining us again in 2022 Fall dance season with her extensive knowledge and terrific classroom manner!!! Her routines were a showstopper in our Spring Recital and her students love her! She is our Westside Christian Academy dance director, as well as, many other classes and levels at our studio.
She started dancing at the age of 5 in Manning, SC. In elementary school, she moved up to Sumter and joined Miss Libby’s Dance where she studied several different styles of dance and worked her way up to be a company dance team member.
Rebecca has experience in leading and choreographing hip-hop, lyrical, jazz and praise dance. In the summer, Rebecca traveled to Dallas, TX to choreograph performance shows for Premier Designs National Rally. She is a also a singer and performer.
She is the Hip Hop teacher for competitive and recreational classes, as well as, her innovating tap, jazz, and lyrical choreography. She is a preschool dance specialist.
She has led VBS worship at Alice Drive Baptist Church and Harmony Church. She has been the director of our Westside Christian Academy program for the past 2 years and will continue. She has been an asset to our Adult dance program for years. She absolutely loves using her talents for the Lord and would like to give it all back to Him. She is married to Ehrin and has three daughters, Lilly, Mills and Ross.
She is the owner of RKphotography and one of the best in town!
Mrs. Jane Player Privette
Baton and support staff

Mrs Jane has called Sumter home for over 50 years.She has been the entertainment director for the Iris Festival for years. With more than 40 years of experience under her belt, she is the director of the Little Miss Sumter/Manning preliminaries and the Iris Festival Pageant. She ran her own baton and modeling school for several years in the Sumter Community at PARD and the Sumter Y.
She worked as a realtor and administrative assistant at Alice Drive Baptist Church. She has been with DDA since the beginning, she loves people and is always willing to help. She is married to Ken Privette and they have 5 children and ALOT of grandkids and great grandchildren.

Miss Olivia Burdick
Ballet, Acro and Technique Instructor


Miss Olivia will be returning to us as our ballet teacher, Adult instructor and competitive technique and tap teacher in Fall 2022. At 16, she was selected and attended a 5 week intensive ballet study with the Governor's School for the Arts in Greenville, SC in 2018. She is a Jump VIP Finalist, REVEL scholarship winner, Dance Makers scholarship winner and also has won numerous regional and national dance awards, National scholarships, New York and LA dance scholarships.
She toured with Southeast Showdown as their Elite Legend this past year. She has also judged and emceed.
She was selected as Most Friendliest as her SHS Senior Superlative, where she was on the track team, SHS Pageant winner, SHS Dance Team and a member of the National Honor society.
She is sought after as a teacher and choreographer and will be offering private lessons this year. She attended the Acrobatic Arts Training in 2017 as an assistant. She began assisting classes at DDA at 10 years old . She is a nursing major and plans to be a nurse anesthetist.
Miss Misty Washburn
Assistant to the Director, Baton

Misty Washburn grew up in Texas dancing for years. Dancing herself and watching her 4 children take multiple classes at DDA makes her a wealth of knowledge at our front desk. She is one of our Adult dancers in our tap and ballet program with her husband, Jason. LTC Jason Washburn brought her to us thanks to the US ARMY with their 4 wonderful children. Marti, Chris, Daralynn, and JJ are all dancers and make our studio a happy place.
Misty handles all things in the lobby during classes and loves to help. She is active at Alice Drive Baptist Church in AWANAS, as well as, teaching Sunday School. We are grateful for her delightful soul and encouraging ways.
All four of her children volunteer daily at the studio in any capacity to make DDA as awesome as possible!

Mr Joseph Boyd
Technique Instructor & choreographer


Mr. Joseph has been a long time friend of our Dreamworks family. He joined his dance teacher, Erika Hogan, years ago to assist with choreography and we have stayed in touch. He is a dance major at USC and is currently student teaching. He is from Chester SC and won numerous titles and awards competing with New Attitude Performing Arts in Rock Hill.
Joseph was awarded a full scholarship to train with Debbie Allen in Los Angeles.
We love his technique classes and feel honored to be a part of his dance journey.
He is available for private lessons and choreography.
