Creative Movement with acro and ballet concepts throughout. Scarves, balls, instruments, hula hoops, and imagination make this the perfect class for your child. We want your child to "fall in love' with dance. Parents wait outside classroom. DRESS CODE: Leotard, tights and pink ballet shoes.

This combo will teach tap and ballet skills each week.

A bigger gym is not always better for a child. We feel that we offer the finest gymnastics instruction in bars, beam, vault and floor in an intimate setting. GROUPS are leveled with 1 teacher/8 kids ratio and every teacher is a former gymnasts or experienced team coach.

ACRODANCE CURRICULUM
ACRODANCE - We are a ACROBATIC ARTS certified studio
ACRO and tumbling Beginner - NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE - starts with rolls, handstands, bridges, cartwheels and intro to strength and flexibility skills
ACRO and tumbling Intermediate - EXPERIENCE w/ a solid cartwheel, bridge, handstand and knowledge of forward/backward rolls and more experience partner skills and flexibility skills.
ACRO and tumbling Advanced - AERIALS w/back walkover, front or back handspring.
ACRODANCE/TUMBLING - the fastest growing area of dance, is the performance of extraordinary feats of balance, agility, and motor coordination. It can be found in many of the performing arts as well as in many sports (sporting) events, and martial arts. Acrobatics is most often associated with activities that make extensive use of gymnastic elements, such as acro dance, circus, and gymnastics, but many other athletic activities — such as ballet and diving — may also employ acrobatics. Although acrobatics is most commonly associated with human body performance, it may also apply to other types of performance, such as aerobatics

CLASS DEFINITIONS
CLASSICAL BALLET: Starting Age 6 - Grace and Balance can sum it up best. No serious performer or dancer should be without the foundation of dance. It makes all other dance forms look better! STRICT DRESS CODE: We require black leotards, pink tights with a slick bun to participate in class. Grouped by age and experience.
Ballet I - 1 hour - First year classical ballet students
Ballet II - 1 hour - 2 years of classical ballet and teacher recommendation
Ballet III & Beginner Pointe - 1 1/2 hours
Ballet IV- 1 1/2 hour with pointe - 3 years of classical ballet and teacher recommendation
PRE POINTE - TEACHER RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED. We offer this class for students with at least two years of ballet technique with classical training. Students must have strong ankles and feet. Students feet must be fully developed. We require black leotards, pink tights with a slick bun to participate in class. Ballet and Pointe Shoes will be fitted in December. Grouped by age and experience.

BATON - Twirling is back! Enjoy twirling the baton like your favorite majorettes at College football games. Batons can be purchased through our store.

CHEER DANCE/POM - taught by former college dance team and current high school dance team members. We learn cheer motions, pom pom routines, tumbling and stunts in this class. We wear awesome cheerleader uniforms and perform often. Non - competitive

JAZZ DANCE - Based on the jazz techniques from New York and LA, we introduce your child to an fun world of cool moves and turns and leaps. This is a favorite and requires coordination and flexibility that we develop through warmup and center floor exercises. Grouped by age and experience. DRESS CODE - Leotard, tan jazz shoes
TAP DANCE - Rhythm, Sound, Stomp, Clap, and Shuffle off to Buffalo. We explore all tap from the original masters to the hip new hoofers, as in Mumbles from Happy Feet. (Otherwise known as Savion Glover) We require tan tap shoes for our dancers. Grouped by age and experience. DRESS CODE - Leotard, tan or black tap shoes, varies by age
LYRICAL -Ballet without all the rules or interpretive dance would be a good description. Dance with freedom and without all of the structure. We encourage students to be expressive and relate to the words in the contemporary Christian music that we use. DRESS CODE - Leotard and bare feet
HIP HOP - Ages 6 and up - Christian artist are a mainstay in this class. Our focus is on Praise. Everyone wants to "Jump up, Jump up and Get down". Join a class today to see what the newest dance craze is in the USA. It is for everyone with experience or not.
DRESS CODE: Snug tank top or leotard and shorts with sneakers.
ADULT TAP, BALLET AND HIP HOP - Older teens and adults with or without tap or jazz experience. Our classes will give you all the tappin, rhythm, movement and fun you can handle. Join us for DANCIN' and fellowship. We are the "hit" of the recital.

WE HAVE A FULL LINE OF DANCEWEAR AND SHOES AT DISCOUNTED PRICES IN OUR STUDIO STORE.
POLICY AND PROCEDURES -We do not Pro rate for missed classes but can offer a makeup, since you are holding a valuable spot.
DISCOUNT - We offer a 10% discount to all active duty military families and first responders with ID for monthly tuition payments and merchandise. We cannot combine multiple discounts.
We do send monthly email invoices/statements. You will receive a statement only if your account is past due. Any account that becomes 30 days past due will be notified by email or phone call. In the event an account becomes 60 days past due, the past due balance will charged to the credit card provided upon enrollment. We encourage you to set up an automatic monthly draft with a credit or debit card, please go to our website and follow instructions.
IN ADDITION TO TUITION, students will need to purchase proper dancewear and shoes, pay registration fee, recital costume and recital fees. We have dancewear and shoes in our store in the lobby of our studio.
ABSENCES / MAKE-UP CLASSES - Attendance is important! Give us advance notice by phone for an absence or tardy, so we can be prepared in class. Absences and tardiness can have a negative effect on the entire class. Classes missed for sickness, personal vacation, etc. may be made up in an age appropriate class within 15 days of the absence. It is the responsibility of the parent to notify the front desk 24 hours prior to a makeup class. Advance notice is required to allow our staff to find the correct make-up class for your student.
WEEKLY DANCE/GYM ATTIRE - PLEASE READ DRESS CODES
It’s important for students abide by a dress code policy for the following reasons: A neat and tidy appearance sets an attitude of attentiveness and respect for students, instructors, and the art of dance and gymnastics. Instructors must be able to see the student's torso and hips clearly in order to make proper corrections on posture/alignment. Hair must be properly secured and tied up off of the face and neck.
No jewelry. NO BARE midriffs. Gum chewing is not allowed due to danger of choking and appearance.
No loose fitting pants, blue jeans or t-shirts (they are not dance attire). We carry a full line of dance shoes, gymnastics & dance leotards. We offer dance STARTER kits. They contain all the required items for classes and save you $15-$20
INCLEMENT WEATHER We will follow closing decisions determined by the Sumter School District. You can ask front desk for a makeup if you choose.
OBSERVANCE (Parent Viewing Days) Observing will be allowed during the first FULL WEEK OF CLASSES of November and March These are the only dates for class observance, unless prearranged by the Director.

DANCE COSTUMES/ GYMNASTICS Payment for dance recital costumes & gymnastics expo outfits are due on or before November 1st . Any orders placed after Thanksgiving break will incur an express production charge of $15.00. We order costumes & attire during the holiday break. Costume companies can take up to 12-16 weeks to ship orders. They are handed out in March.
ANNUAL SPRING PERFORMANCE FEE - The annual PERFORMANCE FEE is $35 per student/$15 additional child in family and helps cover the cost of rental facilities, awards, gifts, advertising, printing costs and keeping our students safe during each performance. Each student receives an participation award and 6 complimentary tickets to one of our May recitals. Additional tickets may be purchased for $7.00. The annual SPRING PERFORMANCE FEE will be DUE MARCH 1ST

All Group dance, gymnastics, Acro Dance pictures are in March. Envelopes are sent home one week before picture day. PACKAGES START AT $30

Our dance recitals are held in a beautiful theatre with professional lighting at Patriot Hall.
Audience members exclaim that they leave with hope and inspiration for the summer. Recital tickets will be available the BEGINNING OF MAY after accounts are zeroed out. 6 tickets will be set aside per student in show to pick up. Add'l tickets $8.
MEDALS AND TROPHIES
Each student will receive one participation SPRING recital medal and certificate. Please contact the front desk if it is your 5th, 10th, or 15th year of dance or gymnastics, as a special trophy will be awarded for these accomplishments. We honor the previous years attended at other studios.
